Savannah
1) Grassland containing trees scattered on it superficially or in groups. These mostly constitute the transition land between real grazing (pasture) land and forest.
2) Tropical meadows with scattered trees and shrubs that are drought resistant. A collection of plants, savannas are located between deserts and equatorial forests in Africa, Australia and South America. Precipitation in the savannah region falls only at one time of the year. For example, in Africa, the savannah areas in the north of the equatorial region receive rainfall in the summer season and the savannas in the south receive rainfall in the winter season. In the rainy period, herbs show rapid development. Savanna areas are the area where vertebrate carnivores and herbivores are most common.
