Rough terrain (undulating terrain) (Peneplain)
1) Land that used to be high and harsh in appearance but has turned into a low, slightly undulating surface resembling a plain due to erosion.
2) Relatively flat and unspecificated areas in which a defective site as a result of millions of years of erosion is first divided by a series of channels by means of streams, and then characterized by eroded ridges (until they are almost flat) located between these valleys. An example of this land is the Çatalca-Kocaeli plateau on both sides of the Bosphorus.
