Biological diversity
It means differentiation between living organisms from all sources, including, inter alia, land, sea and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which these ecosystems are a part; this includes diversity within and between species and ecosystem diversity. An estimated forty percent of the global economy is based on biological products and processes. Poor people, especially those living in low-yield agricultural regions, are largely dependent on the genetic diversity of natural environmental resources.
