Bio-indicator
They are living species that, by their presence in an environment, abundance, good development, disappearance under certain conditions, provide a judgment about certain growing environment conditions. For example, there are plant species that enable a judgment to be made about an environment's soil reaction, salinity, humidity, light, temperature, and water relationships, or air pollution. These species are considered as live indicators (bio-indicators). Bioindicators are particularly important in assessing environmental pressures. Some plants that are sensitive to certain ecological pressures, for example, pollution of the air with SO2, react to this situation by turning yellow, showing developmental abnormality, getting sick, or even dying.
