Accumulation range (Dejection fan)
The way streams accumulate in places where they open from the foothills of the mountains to the plain areas. The thickness and area of spread of the range of deposits vary according to the strength of the stream, the size and quantity of the substance it carries. Deposits of coarse material are most often formed in the form of cones. On the other hand, the range created by the transport of thin materials is wide and the slope is low. The cones and fannes of deposits formed by flood-like streams are usually both inclined and thick.
