Soil Conservation mean
1) A combination of land management and utilization methods used to protect soils from degradation and impoverishment by the influence of natural factors and people.

2) Measures taken to prevent the erosion of soils and to ensure their productivity continuously. These measures are divided into two as structural and agronomic measures. Structural measures are measures to regulate the surface flow of water and prevent soil erosion (such as terraces on slopes, sequins on playgrounds). Agronomic measures are measures aimed at covering the vegetation cover and soil surface and include practices such as fallow agriculture, strip agriculture, crop rotation, mulching, agriculture between rows of trees.

Soil conservation refers to a range of practices aimed at preventing soil erosion, maintaining soil fertility, and promoting sustainable land management. These practices protect the soil from degradation due to factors like water erosion, wind erosion, and unsustainable farming methods. Soil conservation is critical for maintaining soil health, ensuring food security, and preventing desertification and other forms of land degradation.

Key Objectives of Soil Conservation

  1. Prevent Soil Erosion: Erosion is the removal of the topsoil by wind or water, which can deplete soil fertility and cause environmental damage. Soil conservation methods focus on reducing or preventing erosion.
