Greenhouse gases
1) Gas formations in the atmosphere, both natural and of human origin, that absorb and re-emit infrared radiation.
2) They are gases that absorb and emit radiation of different wavelengths within the spectrum of thermal infrared radiation emitted by the earth's surface, the atmosphere itself and the clouds, which can be formed in the atmosphere by natural or human influences. This feature causes a greenhouse effect. Water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxide (N2O), methane (CH4) and ozone (O3) are the main greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere.
